Today is the anniversary of the day Mom #2, Baby Boy and I became a Family.
Here are a few souvenirs from the journey of our lives together!
Here are a few souvenirs from the journey of our lives together!
In our home, on New Years Day we eat black-eyed peas for good health and greens for prosperity in the new year. Since no one in my family likes either of those things, Mom #2 prepares them, we each hold our noses and swallow one spoonful, and then we go out for dinner. Gotta love traditions, LOL!
Of course, this year, we'll be eating those black-eyed peas and greens using our celebratory chopsticks from Japan, courtesy of SabrinaT. Perhaps we'll get to double dip in the good luck pool just this once, ;-).
Feel free to express any of your families' New Years Day traditions and have a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009.

Until next time . . .

Happy Anniversary!
You all look so... right together.
How many years now?
Here's to the next 50 or so.
:)
That was so sweet. As some one with a still little one, it's kind of scary to see Baby Boy grow up in a few pictures like that.
Happy anniversary and Happy New Year!
Congratulations and happy anniversary. What an easy one to remember, LOL!
That Baby Boy is one handsome guy. So neat to see how he has grown. We also eat black eyed peas...well, eat is not really the right word... more like the same tasting you all do. LOL! Happy New Year to you all.
Peace,
:)De
I was stung by bees right before every picture that I look fat in. LOL ;)
Hooray, Congratulations, Happy Anniversary, and many more!
I wish all of you the best of health and happiness in 2009.
WOW, you look so young in your wedding photo! (not that you don't look young now).. um, yeah, you look younger in your wedding photo. Baby Boy has sure grown over the years. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!
You and Mom 2 have definitely got to head to the doc, cause you two are SHRINKING!! Whatever Baby Boy is drinking, tell him to give you two some...STAT! lol. This was adorable. Wishing you not only a Happy New Year, but the Happiest of Anniversaries as well!!!
I love that photo caption "My kind of cooking... a restaurant"
Happy family anniversary to you, Mom#2 and Baby Boy... and Baby Doggie too!
We don't have any family new year traditions and personally, I do not even make resolutions.
Perhaps I suggest one for next year of sleeping until 11 and getting up for some brunch and then napping by the pool for the rest of the day?
Happy Anniversary!
Black eyed peas are icky, aren't they? They taste like dirt. This year I made a dip with them and the cheese and chiles hid the flavor really well. I'll post the recipe.
Wait a minute, didn't y'all just have an anniversary? If this is a ploy to get a gift or two, the buck stops here, Missy! LOL Time sure does flies and we didn't cook the black eyes peas although we did have them Sunday with Barbecue chicken and corn bread. You know how we do it in the south, girl. LOL
Happy New Year!
Thanks for the sweet comments you always leave on my blog. You really encourage me without even realizing it. :)
wow! baby boy grew up right before my eyes! that was a fun slide show!
Happy Belated Anniversary! What a great slide show.
Baby Boy really IS a BABY boy in some of those photos!
Happy Anniversary ( and Happy New Year, too!)
God Bless,
Michelle
