Someone Please Tell . . .

. . . My Mom (who has this history as well as this history) that I was trying to be nice by letting Baby Boy spend the day with her, against my better judgment.

When I explicitly say that Baby Boy is to have NO bread, dairy, or eggs for one hour before and two hours after his medication . . . that is exactly what I mean.

Otherwise, Baby Boy will have an extremely violent reaction to the medication, be up writhing in pain all night, and then Mom #2, Baby Boy and I will have to spend 7 hours in the emergency room letting the doctors, medical students, and nurses practice all different sorts of sadistic treatments on him before sending us home with the following technical medical analysis:

You may want to hold off on taking that medication until you can talk to your primary care physician on Monday.

*SIGH* Where have all the grown-ups gone?

I hope you're having a better weekend than we are.

Until next time . . .

You are having some tough times right now! I hope all ends well. I can't even imagine how angry you are. Hugs.

OH my gosh! I hope he is OK!!! It is amazing that you can give explicit instructions pertaining to the health and well-being of a child (even a teenager) and have them completely ignored.

Would she even believe you if you told her that was the cause of his reaction? It has been my experience that people like your mother won't accept responsibility for their actions.

I hope your weekend gets better.

Holy cow! It sounds like several of us are having very unusual holiday weekends!

I am so sorry about this nightmare. Your mom. . . well. . . from other posts about her. . . yeah.

bummer... is he feeling any better? My parents have what I call "extreme grandparent-i-tis" which causes them to give my kids everything that they are allergic to and then when the kids get sick, they act confused.

I am so sorry to hear that you ALL had a rough weekend. (and I know what it's like...my inlaws just couldn't understand what NO peanuts meant!)
Praying he's feeling better now!

OH my gosh. I'm so sorry!

I hope your mom realizes that you know what you're talking about and doesn't pull anything like that again.

::sigh::

Parents.

Call her every half hour on the half hour that you and/or Baby Boy is awake because of her actions. Then she will "get it".

Sorry, that's mean. But GOD!

Hugs for you, hugs for baby boy, hugs for Mom #2. That sucks donkey balls. (I don't remember where I read that but I like it.)

Hope everything goes AWESOME for you for AT LEAST the next month. God knows you've earned it!!!

hugs hugs hugs.
