Baby, It's Cold Outside!

It's cold today and will be colder tonight. 44 degrees as we speak. Freezing cold!

It took until the first of December, but Winter has indeed made it's way to Texas.

Brrrrr!

Virtual hot chocolates and hot apple turnovers all around!

Well, virtual for y'all. Real for me. Yummy!

Until next time . . .

Considering that we had a high of 45 today, I would like to give you the title of Honorary Great Frozen Midwesterner. Stay warm! (And please send some of those yummy baked goods this way.)

Girl, you are not that far from me. I could be there in just a few hours. :-).

YUM !!!!

Those treats are yummy and yes I'm freezing. It was 45 and overcast here. I say that with a crooked smile on my face, too many years of my life were spent in the frozen mid-west. I like it that my body thinks 45 is cold.

Oh my...that literally made a little drool come out the side of my mouth. Mmm! Love me some whipped cream!!! It's cold AND flooded here today; how's that for a combo?? Meh.

Oh thanks.
You made me drool on my keyboard.

44 degrees is cold? I'm thinking it must be unusually cold for you, where you are. :)

We get outdoors in the 40-degree weather. That's warm in the winter! Although, I am appalled to see children without jackets in 40-degree temperatures...

Enjoy your warming foods and hot chocolate! Mm, mm, mm.

Mmmmmm Hot chocolate...yum!

Please excuse me for dropping in uninvited, buy you seem to be raising one hell of a boy there! Please share, how DOES one get through the onset of 12 year old testosterone? Seriously, Im a pacifist and Im almost ready to kill someone down here! Aside from suddenly treating his brother like a punching bag, smart mouthing all and sundry and being a grumpy bum in general..his latest favourite word is "asshole" NICE HEY? I did what I do best and handed him a book! LOL (no really his big sister found that one today and insisted I buy it for him) All of his sisters are also ready to kill him.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Big hugs and smoochies xooxox

Looks wonderful! We may have snow by the morning... burrrrrr

And Yes, they are fresh water snails. The first picture is one, yes just one, of a number of egg sacks. I think we ended up with six. Each has something like 100-300 eggs. ACK! We only saved one. So, know we have maybe 80+ baby snails, along with the parents. I need to find some snail lovin' homes soon! :)

You see, I'm learning many things. I didn't know that it got that cold down there in Texas!

Enjoy your treats!

That looks yummy. I almost want it to snow just to enjoy that! Maybe I'll just turn up the A/C and enjoy some hot chocolate just because. :)

Droooool!
(Heading to my kitchen...NOW!)

It's been cold here, too - but we just expect that at this time of year. I imagine it's more of a shock to you in Texas!

Jason, as himself said...

Why thank you!

And thank you for your comment yesterday about not being able to go to sleep unless you have Roseanne reruns on. Now that is sick and twisted and oh so funny!

Dear Mom#1,

You may find this exceptionally strange, but I just read Jason's comment above, and I thought you should know that I also cannot go to sleep unless Roseanne is on.

I bought them on DVD just for the same purpose!
