What is success to you?
To me, it's figuring out how to make an ice cream cake, when previously the inside of the oven has only been used for storage and the occasional frozen pizza.
Mom #2's birthday ice cream cake was so delicious and it's been a great way to beat the heat. She's been having a piece every day after work. Today is the 64th day we've been at or over 100 degrees this summer, BTW.
Take a close look . . . that's homemade cake, pralines and cream ice cream, and whipped topping made from scratch (thanks to Mom #2's artisan mixer).
It's nice to have something sweet and cold after a hard day's work.
Until next time . . .

That cake looks wonderful! We are finally starting to cool off. All this humidity is so not good for my hair!
What a lovely cake! Why wasn't I invited to the party?
:)
Nice Job! My hat is off to you!
Now that's a cake!
Man, I pity you. We had a week of 100+ (no one up here has AC, so it was pretty bad) so I feel your sweat . . . That didn't come out right. =)
AWESOME job! Come make the cake for my 35th this December!!! LOL
What a sweet treat for Mom #2 to be able to come home and relax with such yumminess after work.
Oh my soul and body!! I think I just gained three pounds looking at that picture! Think I'll go Google the distance between my house and yours now...
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mom 2!!
Yum! That looks delicious. Hope she had a great birthday.
Drool! That looks so good!
I don't think I'd mind the heat if I had that to cool off. Well done!
Happy Belated Birthday! I missed it all and she is so young! Man, I wished I had a piece of that cake. It's calling me! I love pralines and cream.
