So . . . Who's Buying the Cool Whip?

Here's just one more example of my precious Baby Boy growing up into a young man.

Remember when your kids had money burning a whole in their pocket and just couldn't wait to buy candy, soda, and silly trinket toys that broke in 30 minutes?

I know you remember. Shoot, it was just yesterday, it seems.

Well, Baby Boy had some hard earned money burning a whole in his pocket the other day and do you know what he bought?

Pumpkin pie ingredients!

Oh, that isn't he half of it. He then insisted someone . . . well Mom #2 . . . because I don't bake . . . bake him a pie. Then proceeded to eat it very noisily (think smacking and humming) in his room.

I mean seriously, what kind of child saves up their money to buy pumpkin pie ingredients?

I'll tell you, a well fed one. That's who.

Oh, yes. I am raising an independent young man.

The poor woman who has to be his wife had better have some mad kitchen skills, because between my dinners (Oh, they are delicious, if I do say so myself) and Mom #2's desserts (heavenly) . . . this one is spoiled rotten. ;-)

And he's always hungry. Always.

Until next time . . .

I love it! And it wasn't even Thanksgiving down in your neck of the woods! This seems to be just another example of Baby Boy's uniqueness and creativity. So cool.

We are definitely still in the mode around here where money saved goes towards things like superhero action figures....

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

LOL - A kid after my own heart!
I LOVE pumpkin pie!!!
He sounds like such a character. (I've got one of those, too.) ;-)

And that pie looks amazing! MMmmmm!

Blessings,
Michelle

Yum. James wants pudding pie with gummy worms in it. Gross!

But he won't spend him money for anything, which is a good thing. What he does end up spending his money on is things he breaks. The latest is a replacement basketball. Yes, if you stick a pin in a basketball, it will cease to hold air. Amazing. Sigh. I buy one.

BEAUTIFUL pie.

And I'm not a big pumpkin pie fan, but my son is like yours.

He would eat pumpkin pie over just about any other food choice.

So if I show up with the ingredients, will Mom #2 make me a pumpkin pie, too? I promise to eat it quietly.

Just think what an amazing husband he'd be if the two of you passed on your mad cooking/baking skills. I got more than one date in college because I offered to cook dinner . . . I'm just saying . . .

I like his style.

I may have done that once or twice when I was a teen, but my mother always kept a can of pumpkin in the pantry.

Pumpkin pie is my all time favourite. I could it every single day.

That is awesome! I love pumpkin pie. I don't bake either though. I buy them frozen. LOL Just noticed your dog in the title banner is a twin for our dog, seriously. I showed it to my kiddo and she said "That's Daphne!". Ours is a Silky Terrier. We keep her shaved most times though but she gets shaggy now and again.

Baby Boy cracks me up! It SO sounds like something H-T would do, though...he thinks of the strangest ways to spend money, sometimes. Like this week, he wanted to decorate our porch in Alien Vs Predator Halloween decorations, so he bought the stuff to make it with. Hilarious!
